Context

In September 2026, an external production agency shot a brand content film in the lower concourses of the Parc des Princes. The LED wall was not there to be looked at by an audience — there was none. It was built to be the background of the shot.

That reverses the usual brief. A screen meant for spectators is judged by the eye, from a few metres, under ambient light. A screen meant for a camera is judged by the sensor: at short focal distance, through a shutter, with the whole frame resting on it. Street Co' supplied and integrated a 40 m² surface designed for the second case, in a corridor that offers none of the conditions of a set.

Solution

Street Co' built a seamless 10.0 m × 4.0 m (40 m²) wall using the UPAD III rental LED system in a 2.6 mm pixel pitch — 160 cabinets of 500 × 500 mm, laid out 20 wide by 8 high.

The pitch is the decision that follows from the camera. The closer the lens comes, the sooner the pixel grid appears in the frame; a concourse leaves no room to pull back, so the wall has to hold at short distance. At 2.6 mm it reads as a continuous surface rather than a grid of points.

The 2.5:1 format gives the framing lateral room in a space that has no depth: the shot moves along the wall instead of away from it.

Materials

  • UPAD III rental cabinets: 500 × 500 mm modular cabinets, assembled into a 20 × 8 matrix for a 40 m² surface.
  • High refresh rate: the UPAD III drivers run above 3,840 Hz, which is what keeps scan lines and flicker out of the frame when the wall is filmed rather than watched.
  • 4K HDR, 24-bit greyscale: the colour depth needed for the wall to grade alongside the rest of the footage instead of fighting it.
  • Brompton processing: colour and image management across the full surface, matched to the on-set lighting.
  • Single-person handling: the UPAD III handle design and magnetic locks let one technician install, dismantle and service a cabinet — decisive when rig, shoot and derig all happen inside the same day.
  • Curving capability: 0-10° concave and 0-5° convex per panel, available where the architecture requires it.

Challenge

Building 40 m² of camera-facing LED in a stadium corridor, for one day, concentrates every constraint at once:

  • Filmed, not watched: a wall that only has to convince the eye is a far easier object than one that has to survive a sensor. Moiré, flicker and scan banding all appear on camera long before they bother a spectator — which sets the floor on both pixel pitch and refresh rate.
  • No room to step back: a concourse fixes the camera-to-wall distance. The shot cannot be solved by moving the lens away, so it has to be solved by the surface.
  • One-day turnaround: load-in, assembly, calibration, the shoot itself and complete removal, all inside the same day. Nothing stays overnight.
  • Access through an operating stadium: equipment reaches the concourse through service routes sized for stadium operations, not for show logistics — which caps what can be moved, and how fast.
  • No permanent modification: the wall had to be self-supporting and leave the space exactly as it was found.

Impact

The wall is what you see behind the talent in the finished film. A service corridor with no stage, no rigging points and no depth became a branded set for a day, and was gone the same evening.

The project shows what the UPAD III rental system is for: large camera-grade surfaces deployed fast, in architecture that was never designed to host them, with nothing left behind. For Street Co', it extends a track record of temporary installations inside landmark Parisian venues.
