Leer másArchitect Arthur Mamou-Mani commissioned Street Co' to design the LED lighting solution for Tangential Dreams, the climbable art tower his studio created for the world-famous Burning Man festival in 2016.
The sculpture is a sinuous, climbable tower built from off-the-shelf timber and generated through algorithmic design, maximising the use of inexpensive materials. Around 1,000 thin "tangent" wooden slats are held in place by horizontal members rotating along a central axis, moving gently in the wind like the leaves of a giant tree. Each slat was stencilled with an inspiring sentence gathered from people around the world through the project's crowdfunding campaign, and hand-written by burners throughout the festival.
