Transparent LCD

Transparent LCD Displays are one of the latest innovation in LED technology, among with OLED displays, opening up a wide range of new opportunities in retail and marketing.

They don’t have a blacklight layer integrated, so they do need a background light to reflect colours, but this means the display itself features a unique thinness, which allows the screen to be transparent.

Transparent LED

Transparent LED screens are ideal for large surfaces and building façades. They offer a transparency between 65% and 85%, allowing the viewer to see both the image displayed by the screen and the surface on which the screen is fixed, when the screen is turned off. The screen does not require a ventilation system since its design allows it to automatically maintain a temperature suited to its operation.

The basic structure of an OLED is an emissive layer sandwiched between a cathode(which injects electrons) and an anode (which removes electrons)

It’s thinness allows the OLED displays to be foldable and transparent, and adds to this incredible technology a large range of various applications.

Adhesive LED is one of the most impressive product that you can find. The particularity of it is that the use can be very versatile. For instance, Adhesive LED Displays may be used as windows or as a transparent building facade. These adhesive LED have factored the ‘Lego’ concept by using flexible FPC or PCB material which could be cut up and adjusted according to the shape and size of the surface area (glass or wall) that it is intended to be on without any hitches. The fact that there are no frames or body structure used for these displays make them even more appealing.
