Grasshopper is a graphical algorithm editor that takes advantage of Rhino’s existing tools.
We, at Street communication, use this type of innovative tools to create parametric/geometric innovative LED display screen shapes. We take advantages of this tools to create unusual, unconventionnal designs in order to create stunning visual results that create “Woow factors” to our customers.
Using this tools enable a whole new range of features in terms of curves, flexibility and geometric LED screens shaped with a range of best LED screens indoor resolution. Starting from pixel pitch 2.5 mm full flexible screens to pixel pitch 7.6 mm. Leslie and Jones architects came to us to help designing a iconic screen out of Bond street Station, in London, UK. Grasshopper is a graphical algorithm editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3-D modeling tools. Unlike RhinoScript, Grasshopper requires no knowledge of programming or scripting, but still allows designers to build form generators from the simple to the awe-inspiring. Grasshopper offers new ways to expand and control the 3D design and modeling processes, including automating repetitive processes; generating geometry through mathematical functions; quickly making changes to complex models; and creating complex forms through repetitions of simple geometry.
Grasshopper makes it possible to carry out studies of variants and feasibility on all types of projects and for all trades.
It is usable at all stages of the project: from the conceptual study to the realization.
